Day of the Dead Immersion
Descripción del servicio
Have you ever felt the magic of Day of the Dead up close? The scent of copal incense, the vibrant orange of marigolds, and the warmth of remembering those who have passed. This year, we’ve teamed up with Planeta Cacao to invite you to experience this tradition from the inside—not as a tourist, but as part of the family. When you arrive, the first thing we’ll do is build a traditional altar together. Bring a photo of a loved one or a pet so their memory can join us. While we talk about why cacao was so sacred to our ancestors, we’ll share warm tamales and champurrado, followed by a tasting of regional chocolates and pan de muerto. To help you get fully into the spirit, we’ll gift you a flower headband or traditional hat (and if you’d like the full Catrina makeup, just let us know in advance to book it for an extra cost). We’ll end the day with a respectful walk through the local cemeteries—which are lit up and full of life during these dates—so you can truly feel how Mexico celebrates memory. Pricing - Adults (10 years and older): $1,900 MXN - Children (4 to 10 years old): $1,600 MXN - Infants (0 to 3 years old): Free What's Included - Round-trip transportation from our pickup points across the bay and Puerto Vallarta - Certified professional guide - Traditional altar-building workshop - Cacao history presentation and regional chocolate tasting - Traditional Mexican food (tamales, champurrado, and fresh fruit waters) - Pan de muerto tasting - Themed souvenir (flower headband for women or traditional hat for men) - Guided, respectful tour of local cemeteries - Access to photo-decorated spaces at Planeta Cacao Don't worry about getting there; we’ll pick you up at any of our meeting points across the bay or Puerto Vallarta.
